Tuesday, September 23, 2025 – Estate Gifts Demystified: Practical Steps for Nonprofits After the Donor’s Gift
You have been notified that your organization has been included in a donor’s estate. This is exciting news but now begins the important work of finalizing the gift and many questions. What documentation are you entitled to receive? Can you or should you contact the family and/or the executor? What do you do if there is a dispute with the estate? These are just a few of the questions that may come up in the process. Join us to learn from three experienced estate planning attorneys who will explore how to navigate the legal and administrative processes that follow after the gift is realized. You will gain practical guidance on communicating with executors, ensuring compliance with donor intentions, and managing documentation to secure gifts to advance the missions of our organizations.
