Program Summary:
Drawing on his extensive legal experience and work with charitable organizations, foundations, and trade associations, Bill’s presentation Bill will offer an Iowa nonprofit update that includes Iowa nonprofit statutes and examples of law cases that involved nonprofits.

Speaker Bio:
Bill works primarily with corporate entities on acquisitions, secured loans, and contracting matters, as well as on governance, organizational, operational, and planning issues. He advises health care and health insurance clients on regulatory matters (including privacy, certificate of need, and insurance regulation), and government contracts and compliance measures. In addition, Bill represents financial institutions on transactional matters and bank regulatory issues. Previous experience at a firm in Washington, D.C., has proven helpful with his array of client matters.

Program Summary: Insights on agriculture, real estate & philanthropy
Evaluating Farmland Ownership Over the Next 20 Years. The talk will review several factors impacting how farmland ownership may be impacted over the next two decades including demographics, investment capital, legal and policy frameworks, and owner-operator economic realities. The talk will explain how farmland is quickly becoming an appealing asset class for investors and how this financialization process may impact future ownership. The talk will also review the impact of digitization in US farmland.
